I Can't Log On Any More! What Do I Do?

This page is for those people who cannot log on, even after following the log on instructions.

If you find it impossible to log onto one of our computers, password protected areas of our website, or Minerva, this may be because your computer account is locked:

Reason: Action:
You entered your password incorrectly three times during a half hour period. Students: Please refer to the Student Portal Account Recovery page.
Staff: Contact  IT helpdesk, who will unlock your account.
Your password has expired. Students: Please use the Student Portal Account Recovery page.
All: You can enter a new password by logging onto any of our Windows based computers and following the on-screen prompts.
If you are unable to come onto the main campuses, you can contact the IT helpdesk, who will unlock your account and issue you with a new password.
Computing Services have deliberately closed your account. All: You will need to contact the IT helpdesk, who will tell you why your account has been closed, and explain the procedures to re-activate the account.
